AND SO, SUNGLASSES.

Ever since I’ve begun my jaunt in the glasses-less world, I’ve come to the stark realization that I do not own anywhere near enough pairs of sunglasses. Once stunted by my short-sightedness, I can now bold trudge on forth into the world of the facially-clad and sun-protected. As a result of this newly minted freedom, I’ve spent my spare hours scouring the internet for a pair of sunglasses that reflected my inante ability to impulse buy and then, I can finally live out my life-long dream of becoming an Olsen twin. Yeah, complete with bedraggled locks, massive bags, rings to the finger-tips and a general air of granny-revival. MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE. So, the oversized sunglasses options just keep rolling in.

MIMCO: TAI-PAN - Our Tai Pan sunglasses are right on the money with their slight cat eye shape. Fashioned from acetate with cut out detailing on the nose and dark lenses with UV protection. Featuring metal arms with embossed pleat pattern and acetate tips as well our signature Mimco faceted dome.

MIMCO: ORBIT - Orbit the sun in our stylish and aptly named Orbit sunglasses. These chic round shaped frames are fashioned from acetate and feature dark lenses with UV protection with our signature Mimco faceted dome on the arms.

KAREN WALKER: KAREN’S LITTLE ALIENS, CABBIE. This entire range is pretty wack. Some (okay most) of the looks are a little extreme for my liking, except for Cabbie. Which I want to badly, it’s like I’m trying to paw them out of the computer monitor. Not really, but kind of. Okay, I tried it. It doesn’t work. And, have you seen Karen Walker’s other collections? The woman is a mastermind. Or, is it a mistressmind?

CHEAP MONDAY: PSYCHOMETRY WAYFARER SUNGLASSES. 100% Plastic, Lens: 100% Plastic. Total UV Protection. UV 400. Not for direct viewing of the sun or for use in a solarium Non-prescription. I have bought these. I don’t plan on looking directly at the sun, nor do I ever want to go to a solarium. They are awesome. See shots of said awesomeness below. Yes, that’s my crazy face right there.

SUNSHINE: IN THE FACE.

This jaunt in the land of the “visually adept” will not be long-standing though – I do love my glasses – in fact, one could say I adore them. I won’t be giving them up any time soon. But, it’s just a relief to be able to buy sunglasses without the crazy price tage. My glasses make my face seem more “me” and I won’t be abandoning them to the seas of aesthetic attraction. Also, my face looks a little like a jolly potato without them on. So yeah, I rather be the Hipster-Asian Chick, than the Jolly Potato Face Chick. Just sayin’.

I also, freshly bought this Nerd Kiss 8 x 10 print by Nan Lawson from Etsy. Awesomely enough, the girl looks like me and the boy does look like my fiance – so, it was pretty much an insta-buy and will take pride place near the telly in my new place. Nerding/hipsering/glasses and stuff. I’m currently frame stalking. Because that’s what I do. NERD KISS!
